Taste and See: Mo Fun

It's recruiting season at Pine Cove, a clock that I really miss. Every fall we got to cast out of Tyler to colleges and universities all over the country, interview college kids, hang with our summer staff, and get to love each other a little better with each hour on the road.
As often as I loved playing with our staff and dangling on campus, I also really loved time in the car, conversations with my co-workers, and hanging with whichever friend was rooming with me on the road.

One of those people was Mo.

Mo was my roommate by Pine Cove potluck, and we are kinda opposite personalities. I guess that's why we were (and are! so compatable as friends. One recruiting season I was on a few trips with Mo, which meant there was never a dull moment. As I was driving to make this morning, looking at the autumn leaves out of the windowpane and thought around a jaunt to Dallas where Mo lives now, and when some nice ghetto music started performing on the radio, I spent the relief of my drive remembering fun times recruiting and life with Mo.
- Mo is a good dancer. Like, make you self-concious because you are not a good dancer, good dancer. She's also a fan of ghetto music, which sparked my bed for it. Put the two together, and you get some awesome dance parties in your living room.
- Speaking of dance parties, Mo and I spent the bulk of sentence in the hotel room after recruiting hours using the portable iPod station and teaching me how to do a body roll. I think I finally learned in Mississippi, and we jumped on the bed to celebrate.
- Speaking of jumping on beds, that's how we would pump ourselves up to go back out to do about social activity with summer staff after a long day of recruiting.
- Speaking of pumping ourselves up, one Thanksgiving Mo stuck around and hung with me and helped out at our Thanksgiving conference. We got excited while watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, I made her watch an old band video, then in a bit of genius decided to choreograph a dance to Usher's "Yeah."
- Speaking of Usher, there was a brief moment in time when Mo only wanted to heed to and sing "My Boo." That was not my favorite brief moment in time.
- Speaking of Mo in general, I know her. She is a champion that makes things fun when they want to be. I bid you lived closer, roomie! (Speaking of support closer, Mo lived in Egypt for a while, and she would sometimes call me to talk. That was sick and awesome. So Dallas is way better than Egypt.)
